Life-size Dinosaurs
The exhibition on prehistory giants take place in Giardino dei Semplici, where some prehistoric remains from the Museo di Storia Naturale are exposed.
This is a unique event which begins on March the 1st and lasts until the end of May the 31st. Grown-ups and children can enter this prehistoric environment, where life-size dinosaurs are exposed. These dinosaurs are the main object of study for the most modern researchers in the paleontological field.
In the weekend, there are some workshops and educational activities.
We suggest you this event because it is also an occasion to get your family together through educational activities. This is a different way to meet and to learn how to play! Doesn’t it the best way to spend spare time?!

The burst of the Cart
The sacred and the Profane Through History and Tradition
For its inhabitants it’s the “brindellone”, but all over the world It is known as “the burst of the cart”. This is a tradition which takes place in Duomo Square, in Florence, on Sunday of Easter. It’s a fascinating event with many folk and religious meanings. It regards the procession, the flag-wavers, the cart , the representation of the ancient crusaders and the release of Gerusalemme from infidels (to learn more about this theme, click here).
“Christmas with the yours and Easter with friends of yours”; so why don’t you spend your Holy Easter here in Florence, in Villa La Stella? The burst of the cart is a very good occasion to celebrate Easter in a different way, unifying moments for reflection to moments for folklore and tradition. The burst of our “brindellone” really worth a visit once in a life!

When Something Beautiful Worth a Visit… Crosses, Bells and Many Other Liturgical Objects.
In Rodolfo Siviero Museum, you can admire liturgical objects, which have never been exposed to the public.
Artifacts of great value were restored by Rodolfo Siviero during his life and they were exposed in his Museum which today, together with its work of arts, belongs to Regione Toscana. This is a museum of artifacts which Siviero devoted all his life to.
This exhibition began last January will end on April the 25th; until that date, It will be possible to admire a particular collection of many liturgical objects, which are preserved in Casa Siviero. These objects were located on the floor above of the Museum and for the first time they are exposed to the public.

Elia Dalla Costa, Man and Image
Until the 15th of April, in the Opera del Duomo Museum, you can visit the works of art which were realized by three famous artists: Antonio Berti, Oskar Kokoshka and Luciano Guarrieri. They studied and interpreted the great personality of the heroic Bishop Elia Dalla Costa, who came from Veneto and who was the head of the Archidiocese in Florence during Fascism, the Second World War and the Post-war Reconstruction.
